Out Doors Inc.

Out Doors Inc. runs outdoor adventure & respite programs for people 16+ who are living with a mental illness in Victoria.

Out Doors assists people to tackle some of the barriers which hamper their ability to live independently or participate in the community.

Common experiences for people with a mental illness include:

• discrimination on the grounds of illness
• gaps in work and education
• lack of stable accommodation
• the unwanted effects of medication
• low motivation and self-esteem

At Out Doors, we challenge stereotypes about the ability of people with a mental illness to achieve in activities that are ‘adventurous’ and ‘risky’.

Out Doors adventures have helped participants to better connect with other group members, family, friends as well as the broader community.

Out Doors Inc's office is open Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm.
